LAWSON, Bernard J. Of Somerville, October 5, 2008. Beloved father of Brian Lawson of Lexington, Bruce Lawson of Merrimack, NH, Natalie Chatel of Lexington, Carol Chapman of Alexandria, VA and Maureen Lawson of Wilmington. Brother of Florence Schraffa and the late Charles Lawson. Also survived by 5 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held in the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) SOMERVILLE, Friday morning at 10. Relatives and friends invited Calling hours Thursday 4-8. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bernard's memory to the Somerville-Cambridge Elder Services, 61 Medford St., Somerville, MA 02143. Mr. Lawson,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Thanks for being such a great Dad to Moe and her sibs. You brought much joy to the people around you and you will be missed. I especially enjoyed our trips to Bickford's for breakfast from time to time. We all had a few laughs along the way. Peace to you.
