McGILVERY, Michael G. Of Salem, formerly of East Bridgewater and Dorchester after a very brief illness at the age of 36 on October 6. Loving son of Mary McGilvery of East Bridgewater. Beloved nephew of Joanne Armstrong of Lynn, Marcia McGilvery of Winthrop. Also survived by many devoted cousins and friends. Funeral from the Ruggiero Mazzarella Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga St. (Orient Heights), EAST BOSTON on Friday, October 10 at 9 a.m., followed by his Funeral Mass in the Sacred Heart Church, Brook St., East Boston at 10. Relatives and friends are respecfully invited. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8. Late graduate East Bridgewater High School Class of 1990. Funeral home is handicapped accessible. Children's lounge available. Courtesy valet parking front entrance. For complimentary transportation please call 617-569-0990. Ample off-street parking with attendant. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Michael's memory may be made to the New Eng. Organ Bank, One Gateway Center, Suite 202, Newton, MA 02458 or Neuroscience Nurses Fund, Mass. I remember Mike from my time at Salem State, we were house mates and friends. He was someone I liked immediately upon being introduced to. He was thoroughly genuine. I was sad to hear the news and my thoughts are with his family and close friends.

Mrs. McGilvery - Please accept my sympathies in the loss of Mike. Every time he was around everyone was either smiling or laughing, his laugh was infectious. I met him for the first time going to Mrs. Brooks' house before & after school when we were younger. I feel lucky to have had the chance to catch up with him at our 15 year reunion. May he be at peace.
