Dear Lena,
I was a friend of your mother's from graduate school. I remember how determined she was to bring you into her life. That incredible determination is how I will always remember her. I haven't seen Pam since she first brought you home, but I can only imagine what a wonderful mother she was. With warmest wishes to you and your father. Pam

Know that my and my family's prayers are with you, Doug and Lena, during this time. I was blessed by Pam's unforgettably beautiful spirit and generosity of heart. So much of her is reflected in you, Lena. We thank God that in this way, she is never really gone. May the God of all comfort be with you, your family and friends in the days to come.

Dear Doug and Lena,
I was a Tri Delta sister of Pam's at URI, where Pam was one year ahead of me. She was the most positive person I knew, always with a wonderful smile for everyone and a great infectious sense of humor. "Capece" lit up every room she walked into, and made everyone of us feel special. Even though it's been over 30 years since I've seen her, I have never forgotten Pam or her heart that embraced everyone she knew. I know I share the sadness and heartbreak of all the Delta Delta Deltas who had the privilege of living with Pam "back in the day". My love and deepest condolences to all of you who loved her.

I, too, knew Pam as a Tri D at URI. To us, she was always CAPECE. Such energy, laughter and a huge, huge smile. Always there to help, support, and be positive. We were blessed to have Capece in our house. She certainly lit things up. I am so sorry to hear this news and I send you my deepest sympathy. Delta love, Capece.

Dear Doug and Lena,
Word is spreading throughout the sisterhood of Delta Delta Delta sorority at the University of Rhode Island that Pam is no longer with us. The news was totally unexpected and so shocking.
I was in the graduating class ahead of Pam's and have so many fond memories of her. Though it has been more than thirty years since I last saw Pam, I will forever remember her smile, sense of humor, and commitment to hard work. Whether it was spending time on campus or traveling during spring break, Pam was always good-natured, positive, and thoughtful of others.
My sincere condolences to you all during this very difficult time.
