Robert Johnson Obituary

JOHNSON, Robert E. Of Hudson, FL and Marshfield, MA, died Monday, Oct. 6, 2008 at Mass General Hospital. He was born in Brockton, MA to Charles Milton and Helen (Blee) Johnson. He was a Mayflower descendent in the family line of John and Priscilla Alden. He was a graduate of Archbishop Williams High School in Braintree and served in the United States Army. Robert retired from the Teamsters' Local #653, after many years of service. He is survived by his beloved partner Marcia Brennan; his children, Kelli Regan and her husband Edward; son Greg Johnson and his wife Carrie; Lisa Sullivan and her husband Danny; 8 grandchildren: Jake and Mackenzie Riley; Amber, Collin and Ryan Johnson; Michaela, Madison and Colleen Sullivan. He is also survived by his sisters Eileen Whiting, Helen Brooks, Mary Brown and her husband Arthur, and his brother Paul Johnson and his wife Marie. Many cousins, nieces and nephews also survive him. Robert was a wonderful son to his mother, a tower of strength for his family and a great friend to many. His Memorial Service will be held at Massachusetts National Cemetery Tuesday Oct. 14th at 11:15 AM, followed by a reception at the SeaCrest Oceanfront Resort & Conference Center in No. Falmouth. Anyone wishing to make a donation in Robert's name should be made to Partners Hospice, Development Office, 281 Winter St., Suite 200, Waltham, MA 02451 or the Discalced Carmelite Nuns, 15 Mount Carmel Rd., Danvers, MA 01923-3796.
