Dear Ruth and family, although I only knew Great Uncle Louie for a short time, I knew immediately that he was family. His warmth and affection were contagious and I envy his loved ones that were around him all the time. I deeply regret that as family we did not spend any time together. We send you all of our love and condolences,
Gerry and Melissa Hunt (son of late Henry Selvitella and grandson of late Genarro Selvitella)

He was husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. My father was loved by all that knew him and he in turn opened his arms and welcomed all. He will be greatly missed by all those, who's heart he touched. I love you daddy, rest in peace.

He wasn't Dad, he wasn't father. I didn't call him Pop. As old as I am he was always "Daddy" and that has never changed.

I will miss you forever Daddy.

I am deeply saddened at the death of Louie. A great man to say the least. The Selvitella's should take comfort in knowing that Lou touched a lot of people in this world. When I told him I was moving to Chicago and had some doubts about going, he told me to go, you can always come back. Here I am 17 years later, still in Chicago. I for one will never, ever forget Louie and all the good advise he gave me over the years. God Bless You Louie.......
