Mr. Walsh,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Uncle Tom was a fun person to be around. He always wanted to shoulder his share of any burden and was quite independant in action and thought. He was a big Red Sox fan and as I recall an accomplished gardener. He will be dearly missed and remembered as a genuinely warm, engaging and helpful man. He did not hesitate to "mix it up" with you and challenge your opinions. He was a gentleman in the true sense of the word. I loved him and will miss him. My mother and his sister, Mary or Cis as Tom called her, loved him dearly and fondly remembers what a great brother he was to her. She was very glad that so many warm and caring nieces, nephews and family in general shared their lives with him throughout the years.

Uncle Tom was a wonderful man.
Family was very important so he attended all the Christenings, graduations, weddings - all the celebrations.
He was well read, interested in current affairs and politics (never shy about sharing his opinions) and he had a great sense of humor.
We will really miss him.
