Madeleine Savoie Obituary

SAVOIE, Madeleine Rose "Maddie" 10, of Norfolk, died on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, at the Children's Hospital in Boston, after a courageous two year and two month battle with cancer. She was the loving and greatly loved daughter of Ernest J. and Kristen (Herold) Savoie. In addition to her parents she was survived by loving half sister Lauren Savoie of NJ, and of brothers Michael, William, and Thomas Savoie of Norfolk. She was the dear granddaughter of Mary Elizabeth (Wallace) Savoie of MI, and of Arthur and Michelle (Dore) Herold of Norwalk, CT. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the RJ Ross Funeral Home, 135 South Street, Route 1A, WRENTHAM CENTRE, on Sunday from 4-8 PM. Her Funeral will be on Monday at 11 AM in the Sanctuary of the Trinity Episcopal Church, East Street facing Lower Common, Wrentham Centre. Burial will follow in the Norfolk Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Cops for Kids with Cancer, PO Box 850956, Braintree, MA 02185. Arrangements are in the care of Richard Ross and the RJ Ross Funeral Home, 135 South Street, Route 1A, Wrentham Centre.

Maddie, I love you and miss you everyday. I wanted to tell you that the day of your funeral, we found a monarch butterfly. We let it go at your house, in your garden. It flew all the way to the front of your house, and rested on your doorstep. I thought you would like hearing that. Love all your friends!
