SHAFER, Wayne A., Jr. 85, of North Andover, formerly of Coventry, RI and Hamilton, MA, on October 18, 2008, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of the late Barbara (Hunt). Devoted father of Douglas R. Shafer & his wife Deborah of Belmont and Daniel K. Shafer & his wife Patricia of Wilmington. Loving Grampy of Katherine Shafer, Leslie Shurtleff, & Thomas Shafer. Dear son of the late Wayne A., Sr and Anna Marie (Schlef) Shafer. Brother of Gertrude Josephine Johnston of Wheatland, WY. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, October 20th from 4-8 PM at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), WILMINGTON. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 or the Alzheimer's Association., 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472. W.W. II, U.S. Army Air Corps. Veteran.
