Jean Williams Obituary

WILLIAMS, Jean E. (Gay) 66, of Hanover, died Sunday, October 19, 2008 at home surrounded by her family after a long illness. The daughter of the late Richard E. and Eunice L. (Paine) Gay. She was born in Brookline on November 28, 1941. Mrs. Williams was a 1960 graduate of Stoughton High School and had been a Nursing Supervisor at the former Mill Pond Rest Home in Hanover, where she had worked for 30 years. In her earlier years, Jean was the President of Mothers' of Twins Club and a long time member of the First Baptist Church in Hanover. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and always got excited planning and participating in family gatherings and spending time at the seashore. She is survived by her husband Alden T. Williams, 1 son, Michael A. Williams and his wife Jennifer M. Williams of CT, 2 daughters, Karen L. Fabian and her husband, Jim Fabian of Pembroke and Kristine A. Lowell and her husband, Evan C. Lowell of Hopkinton, 9 grandchildren, Randy S. Lowell, Wesley A. Lowell, Russell J. Lowell, Kenny E. Lowell, Holly E. Williams, Erin N. Williams, Tyler J. Fabian, Lindsey A. Fabian and Lauren A. Fabian. Also survived by 2 nephews, Richard Worden and his wife Michelle Tessier and their daughter, Stacie Worden of ME and Scott Worden and his wife Renee Worden and their daughter Jessica Worden of ME. Memorial Service in the First Baptist Church, 580 Webster St., Rte. 123, Hanover on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008 at 11 AM. Lunch reception following Service. I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Jean. I got to know her from home visits I made during the last year. She was always strong and kept fighting right up until the end. Jean will always have a special memory in my heart, she was one of a kind. We will miss her.

Jean was an incredible person, no matter what was going on she was always "ok". Her family was a wonderful support for her, and she loved them so much. She was a pleasure to care for and will be greatly missed. My heart and sympathy go out to her family.

We are so sorry to hear of Jean's passing. We remember Jean so fondly working with her at Mill Pond Rest Home. Such a wonderful person, so kind and dedicated caring for the patient's at the rest home. She was so supportive to me when I was attending nursing school and working at the rest home.
