Carol O'Gorman Obituary

O'GORMAN, Carol R. (Hess) At the age of 83, of Sandwich, MA formerly of Larchmont, NY for 53 years, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2008. Carol was the devoted wife to the late William (Bill) O'Gorman for 57 years, and is survived by her daughter Ellen O'Gorman of Wilmington, MA. She is also survived by her sister-in-laws, Beverly Hess of Tamarac FL, and Mary Rita Moncrief of Davis, CA, along with nieces, nephews and dear friends. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, October 25, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave, (Rte. 62), WILMINGTON, MA, where family and friends are invited to attend and/or participate in wonderful remembrances of the life of Carol O'Gorman. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made: In Memory of Carol Hess-O'Gorman to: Cooper Union School of Art, Annual Fund, 30 Cooper Square, NY, NY 10003. Carol was born, raised and educated in New York City and her beginning life experiences and education as an accomplished artist led to years of creativity and served as a base for a large circle of very dear friends which transcended down to her family and their families with inter-generational friendships ongoing to this day.
