I had the honor of meeting Everett in 2002 when I went to his home to see his 1967 Corvette which he was considering selling. He immediately reminded me of my favorite uncle with his engaging stories and fondness for a cocktail.
I bought the Corvette after a number of visits to see he and Marion but I missed ever having one of his Mexican Martini's.
May his soul have everlasting life and peace.

I met Everett at Cardiac Rehab at Addison Gilbert Hospital this past year. I very much enjoyed our mutual interest in sharing our experiences living in Washington DC. I wish to extend my sincere sympathy to all members of his family. I will miss him and his gentle ways .

Swede and and my father had been friends since their school days in Washington, DC. It is a testament to Swede's warmth and kindness that that friendship transcended generations. I am glad I had a chance to spend a day with him on my last trip to New England; he and Marion were the best of hosts. My deepest sympathy to you, Marion.

Marion: Bob Wendell called me today with the sad news on Everett.

My family and I will never forget that August day 2007, in Milwaukee, WI. when we were to meet him along with three other men who were all shipmates of my Dad's on the LSM 448. Everett was so fun to listen to, telling all his Navy stories. I will truly miss his notes and the phone calls we have shared over the last couple of years.

I am very proud to say I knew this wonderful man if even for a short time. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

The last time I saw Swede (as my parents used to call him) I was still a boy. I was looking forward to seeing him again one day, but I missed that chance, and I am very sad about that.
He will always stay in my memory as a generous, warmhearted and loving Uncle.

I feel so very lucky to have had Everett as my Great Uncle. He was so kind and generous. It's hard to say goodbye, I guess I felt he would live forever. Everett meant so much to me. I am glad for the time we got to spend together this past summer. I only wish we could have had more time. Aunt Marion-I am blowing great big hugs and kisses your way, I am so sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers and I love you very much!

To my dear friend Everett, who was not only the best neighbor, but a wonderful friend who opened his heart and his home to anyone in need. I will always cherish the stories told and memories made along with your beautiful and loving wife Marion. May Our Most Merciful God hold you in the palm of His hand for all eternity.
