Mary Altiero Obituary

ALTIERO, Mary P. (McCannon) 91, a longtime resident of York, ME, and formerly of Medford, MA, died, Thursday, October 23, 2008 at Sentry Hill. Born May 11, 1917 in Boston, MA, daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (White) McCannon. She was a member of St. Christopher's Church in York. She was an avid reader and enjoyed volunteering at York Hospital. She is survived by four sons, Michael J. Alterio, Jr of East Rutherford, NJ, Peter F. and Donna Alterio of Arlington, MA, Marc J. and Ginny Alterio of Wellesley, MA and South Berwick, ME, and Brian P. Alterio of New York, NY; eleven grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren; a sister Elizabeth McEnany of Gulfport, FL. She was also the sister of the late Charles McCannon and Sr. Therese McCannon. Calling hours will be held from 9-10 AM on Monday, Oct. 27th in the Lucas & Eaton Funeral Home, 91 Long Sands Road, YORK, Maine. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, in St. Christopher's Church, 4 Barrell Lane, York. Burial will follow in First Parish Cemetery, York. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Seacoast Hospice, 10 Hampton,Rd., Exeter, NH 03833.
