Rose Lillian Slavin

SLAVIN, Rose Lillian Died peacefully, surrounded by her close family on October 12, 2008 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Born Rose Fried on August 13, 1913, in Brooklyn, New York, she married Theodore R. Slavin in 1936. Rose worked in the administration of Lincoln High School in Yonkers, New York, and, after 1979, as a realtor in Falmouth, Massachusetts until 2000. Survived by her husband, Ted, after 72 years of loving marriage, and her sons Malcolm Owen Slavin of Cambridge, Massachusetts, Dennis Slavin of New York City, her daughters-in-law Joyce Klein and Julia Trubikhina, and grandchildren Samuel, Anna, and Anya. Our "sweet mensch" will be terribly missed. In her memory, we may honor her through tax deductible contributions to the Memorial Tree program of the Friends of Mount Auburn Cemetery, 580 Mount Auburn Street, Cambridge, Massachusetts, 02138.
