To my family and friends of Uncle Sam. He left a legacy. His deep love and concern for family will be at the forefront of my mind whenever I think about family values. As a young girl, I remember seeing the love he had for my aunt (deceased) Edell. He was of strong character, a gentle demeanor, a deep love for family and he epitomized the example of what it meant to be a strong black man. He believed in sharing, of black resourcefulness and independence. He taught me more than he ever realized. I loved him dearly and will miss him, his laugh and his words of wisdom. The Lord has him now and I know he is smiling on us and saying "family, stay strong, stay together and love one another forever and ever". God be with you my dear Uncle Sam. Job well done in your lifetime.........Your loving neice, Ruby.

I am truly sorry for your loss. May memories of happier times help you to cope during these most difficult days. Have faith in the promise God made at Psalms 37:29 -“The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it.” His promises bring us comfort and offer us hope. They will without fail come true. I offer my sincere condolences to you all.
