Dear Gerilynn, Tony and Alexandra,

Barbara and Paul were my dearest friends. Words cannot describe the sorrow and loss I feel when I think of them both. Barbara was like a sister to me. My many treasured memories of Barbara go all the way back to our childhood in Charlestown ----back to a place and time where her father owned the local donut and candy shop. I can recall enjoying the most delicious donuts you could find anywhere with Barbara in her dad’s shop.

Throughout our lives we shared our dreams and life’s good times, as well as the disappointments. Having Barbara as my friend always made the disappointments not so hard to bear…….. and made the happy moments of our lives that much happier because she was there to share in those experiences. Barbara was a very special person….beautiful to her soul. The center of her life was her family----------your happiness has always been her happiness. I know that she is now joined with the love of her life…..her Paul……and that gives me great consolation. Barbara touched the lives of all she knew. She loved all three of you so very much. I hope you will find comfort in knowing and feeling her gift of love that she has left behind for all of you. Know she is happy and at peace. She will be with you always.

My love and deepest sympathy,

James Phillips

Gerilyn, Tony, and Alexandra-- Our prayers and thoughts are with you. Barbara was one of the happiest and most generous people I've ever met. What a great laugh! She was so good to my father and my mother when they were sick, always took the time to call, send a card just to say hello, and a little gift to cheer them up. You were very lucky to be able to have her home with you. I know what a pleasure and a sacrifice that must have been. She spoke often of enjoying the special time she had with Alexandra and being so involved in her life. I'm so sorry for your loss but remember she is with the rest of our family that she loved and we miss so much.
