Alice was my mother Mary's sister, and a wonderfully loving aunt.

Among the gifts Aunt Alice and my mother gave us were back- bone, spirit, a sense of humor, and compassion.

I treasure the lovely letters Alice sent me, the photos of all the family, and so many memories from a childhood which sometimes seems like only yesterday.

On my way to the market after William phoned, the rain suddenly cleared and a huge, brilliant double rainbow stretched from one side of the sky to the other...

I think it was Aunt Alice and my Mum smiling.

With love and condolences to all the family.

Alice was the most wonderful cousin to my mother, Gladys McDonald, but more of a friend than a relative. Gladys and my Dad, as well as my sister, Eleanor and Victor, her husband all lived in Englewood Fla. because of Alice. She introduced them to the town, and to Florida and they loved it and spent time with Alice and her late husband, John Kearney. The entire McDonald and by extension, Padilla and Kenny families extend condolences to Alice's sons, their wives, and children and Alice's grandchildren.

Our deepest sympathy at the loss of your mother. She was a valued friend. She was always so kind to me..helped me with my homework when I was a kid. She was always so kind and considerate of my grandparents..they loved her so, as did I. Bill and I visited her often in Englewood. She was such fun to be with..and so proud of her sons and their families. My heart goes out to all of you, as she was such a great mother and grandmother. Pat(Gray) and Bill Delorey

I was deeply saddened to hear of your mother's passing. She was such a lovely lady and loved very much by my family. I am sorry we never got another chance to talk as we did the time we rode back from Quincy together. We were never at a loss for words the whole 2 hour drive home. She showed me around her apartment and the grounds where she lives and seemed to be very happy there. No matter how old we get, we always miss our mother as I am sure you will. I am very sure Alice is in a much better place. Regretfully, Ginny
