Harold Lundberg Obituary

LUNDBERG, Harold V. 84, recently of Chelmsford and formerly of Burlington, died on Wednesday, October 29, 2008. He was the husband of the late Helen L. (Murray) Lundberg who died in 1987. He was born on February 15, 1924, a son of the late Peter and Anna C. (Anderson) Lundberg. He was a WWII veteran having served in the United States Navy. Prior to his retirement Harold worked as a Lineman for the Boston Edison Co. in Waltham for thirty years. Harold was an avid Red Sox fan, and had a lifetime hobby of collecting stamps and coins. He also enjoyed golfing and spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Lundberg is survived by his four children; Peter A. Lundberg of Holyoke, Kathryn A. Stefaniak and her husband Frederick of Salem, NH, Christine E. MacKinnon and her husband Edward of Chelmsford, and Paul R. Lundberg and his wife Suzanne of Tewksbury, six grandchildren; Stephen and Peter MacKinnon, Katelyn and Kevin Stefaniak, and Erik-Paul and Alanna-Lee Lundberg, two niece's; Anna Quigley and her husband William, and Karin Mead and her husband Bruce, and their son Mikael Mead and his wife Jessie. He was the brother of the late Agnes Jansson, Dorothy Anderson, and Lennart Lundberg, and the uncle of the late Alan Lundberg, and Roy Anderson. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday afternoon from 2-4pm at the Blake Funeral Home 24 Worthen St. CHELMSFORD. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Mary's Church, Chelmsford. Interment will follow in Mt. Benedict Cemetery, West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in Harold's name to the American Heart Association 20 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701. Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the USN during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
