To the WHOLE Tomeo Family:
Its been years since I have seen any of you, however I always remember your dad walking past our shop on Medford Street, he would always stop and talk to me and was so pleasant, always remembered him when I was a kid waiting for Andrea, he was always smiling and happy even after working a long hard day. Just a wonderful man and will be missed by all of you, he will join my dad, he's been gone now for 11 years and it is hard, but they do remain with you in our hearts and memories. Truly sorry for your loss.

My deepest sympathy goes out to the Tomeo Family. Andrew was a friend of my father (John Spera) and uncles Louis Alberto and Mike Spero.
They hung around Teele Sq. as teenagers. Although my dad and Uncles have all passed on, I am sure that they are all sharing a good laugh right now with their good friend, about old times. Andrew has always had a special place in my heart, he was chosen by my parents to be my God father some fifty years ago. God Bless you Andrew.

I had the pleasure of sitting with Mr. Tomeo at the Wilmington Pop Warner football games to watch his grandsons and my son play. He was not a man that you had to know for along time to realize he was a wonderful person. He will truly be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and family.

I had the great honor of knowing andy, he always had a joke to make you laugh and a smile that was permanently painted on his face. I always saw him with his lovely wife taking her shopping and waiting till she finished store after store never saying "hurry up". he would wait and smile. Always asking" how are the children". He was a generous ,honest, and a truly sincere man. My heart goes out to the family and my prayers are with all of you.......

To Gayle and the Tomeo Family, My prayers are with you all. I have great memories of growing up on Browning Rd. and especially hanging out on the Tomeo's front porch. Mr T was loved by all, he was everyone's dad back then. When the street lights went on, the Tomeo kids went in, and thats what Mr. T was all about, his family and home. Lisa (Winik) Nilan

Andy a humble proud family man who will be sorely missed by all that knew and loved him. A father in-law I am proud to have called my father. Always thinking of others before himself. Andy served his country in times of need like he served his family without ever blinking. Eternal Love and respect. your son-in-law Ron.
WHAT IS A VETERAN?
A veteren is a person who fell in love with his country...for better, for worse...for richer, for poorer...in sickness and in health. A veteran is a person who is willing to ay down their life for Statue of Liberty so that her poor, her huddled masses, her homeless, her tempest tossed may breathe free and may enjoy life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. A veteran is a person who does what he or she must..in spite of obstacles and dangers and pressures..for that is the basis of all human morality. A veteran is one who gets a lump in his throat when he/she sees our beloved flag. One who will fight to protect our beautiful flag from those who dare to dishonor it. A veteran is one who pays their taxes, willingly; serves their country, honorably; and cherishes their freedom, passionately. A veteran is one well deserving of our appreciation, our love, and our prayers365 days a year.

Andy was one sweet gentle man, who always made sure his sweet wife Margie was cared for. He loved people, he loved life. His devotion to his family was of the utmost. The many weekends he spent watcing his grand children play their Pop Warner sports, was his favorite. As a neighbor, We loved Andy, and may GOD welcome him with open arms.

I consider myself very fortunate and honored to be a very close friend of Danny Tomeo and thank him for giving me the opportunity to get to know his family, especially his dad. I have known Mr. Tomeo for many years. Mr. T had a special way of always making me feel welcome in his house. All that knew Mr. Tomeo are saddened by his passing yet can smile at the joy he gave to his family, friends and yes all that he knew. Heaven just became a better place with his arrival !!
