Loren Reeder Obituary

REEDER, Loren L. 82, of Scottsdale, AZ, formerly of Needham, MA, died on November 6, 2008, following a brief illness. Loren was born and raised in Illinois and moved to Boston upon receiving a scholarship to Harvard University Business School. His interest in the stock market led to his career as an investment banker. He was employed full-time at Wedbush Morgan, in Scottsdale, until his death. He was a World War II Navy veteran and former Dale Carnegie instructor. Loren was an avid golfer and former member of Wellesley Country Club. He will be best remembered for his dry-wit and humor, intellect, and out-going personality. Loren was the husband of the late Billie Reeder and father of the late Jack E. Reeder. He is survived by his daughters, Lynn M. Bilodeau and Laura L. Reeder, and his grandchildren Alex, Brett, and Gabrielle, all of Norwood, MA. He is also survived by his brother Garnet and his wife Pat of Tucson, AZ. A special thanks to his nephew Scott Reeder and also his colleague Ed Zubon for their support and compassion during his illness. No services will be held. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of your choice.

Loren was a wonderful friend- we played so many memorable rounds of golf in Needham and Wellesley. Not only was he a valued co-instructor of the Dale Carnegie course, his stock expertise and investment advice is still paying dividends in my life. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. He will be missed.

Mr. Reeder,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the USN during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
