Louise Briggs Obituary

BRIGGS, Louise Bates 92, of Hudson, MA and Cape Cod, beloved wife of Dudley T. Briggs, deceased, died October 27, 2008 at Wingate of Sudbury. She retired from teaching at Arlington High School in 1969, and was a member of the class of 1937 at Framingham State College. Louise is survived by two sons, David and Jonathan Briggs of New Mexico, and two daughters, Ursula Small and her husband Bruce of Illinois and Leslie Simpson of Hudson, MA. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Joshua and Evan Briggs, Keith Ogren, Lara, Scott, and Benjamin Simpson. She had one great grandson, Maxwell James Simpson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Independent Alumni Fund at Framingham State College (IAFFSC), 42 Adams Road, Framingham, MA 01702. Services will be held at the Barnstable Unitarian Church, 3330 Main St., Barnstable, MA 02630, Friday Nov. 14, 2008 at 2:30 pm. Burial will be private.
