Father Saulenas Obituary

SAULENAS, Father Simeon Of Cambridge formerly of Abington, November 9, age 89. Loving son of the late John and Victoria Saulenas; loving brother of John P. Saulenas of Boston and the late Mary Saulenas, Joseph Saulenas, Sister Magdosia, Sofia Carrol, Helen Kelleher, and Wallace Saulenas; Also, survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Father Simeon Saulenas was a Priest of the Archdiocese for almost 62 years and a Pastor for 40 years-less three months, and retired from Immaculate Conception (Lithuanian) Parish in Cambridge. He attended St. John Seminary and was ordained at Holy Name Church on Aug. 10, 1944. For all but a year-and-a-half of his almost 62 years of active priestly ministry, Father Saulenas served in Lithuanian personal parishes of the archdiocese. Arrangements by the Quealy and Son Funeral Home 116 Adams St, ABINGTON. Father Simeon Saulenas will lay in state at St. Bridget's Church, 455 Plymouth St, Abington, Thursday November 13 from 5 to 8 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday November 14 in St. Bridget's Church 10:30 am. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery, Rockland.
