Mrs O, Kev and Dave-I'm very sorry to hear of Obie's passing. My daughters are always asking for stories about me growing up. I just recently told them about the giant tubes that you always brought to Sand Hills beach and the fun we'd have on them. Thanks for the tubes and memories! God bless-Mark Stevens

We are so sad and shocked to hear about Obie. He was a wonderful man and anyone who met him was happy to have known him. He was blessed with a special gift of personality. When you met Obie for the first time it was as if you had always known him. Our prayers are with you at this time.

Obie, a great man, a great friend, friendly no matter at the SBA, Scituate Hardware, no matter what no matter where, he always made a point to say hi, such a great friend to my mom. Beth and I saw Obie this past weekend. We both commented that whenever we saw George he was always smiling, truly happy, and quick with an 'attaboy.' He always made those around him feel good. A good man and an even better neighbor and will always be remembered as such.

It is very sad to learn of this loss. I worked with George the first week of football season in Cohasset and am saddened and shocked by this news.
George was a great man, excellent mentor to younger officials and friend to anyone he met.
