Dear Nelson Family,

Our cantorial soloist announced the passing of Larry this past Shabbat evening. My deepest sympathy to all of you. I enjoyed working with Larry for Temple Beth David's 45th Anniversary celebration 6 years ago; he and his music added to the evening: a true musician and a professional. I know Howard lost a dear friend.

Again, deepest sympathy, may you go from strength to strength...l'dor v'dor.

Dear Roz and family; I know words cannot express the emotions felt by all of us who knew and cared about Larry. I am so sorry for your loss. He was a good friend for many years - especially at Randolph High, and for some time after. We shared some great adventures in our youth. I know he was a devoted father and husband. I hope the memories of Larry will be there to carry you through.

Dear Nelson Family,
What a complete shock! My deepest sympathy to all of you. I often think of all the fun we had in Zamir. Larry was a great friend during those years. He was a super person. I will pray for you all and wish you strength through this time of mourning and healing.

Dear Nelson Family,

We had the wonderful privilege of knowing you from our time at Temple Beth Emunah. As a matter of fact, I saw Roz with her oldest son at the Dr's on Sunday, but didn't say anything. I'm so sorry I didn't say "Hi". Matthew knows my girls quite well and he has always been an adorable young man who made me smile a lot while I was on the School Board at the Temple. We are devastated to hear of your loss and send love and well wishes to you all. May G-d bless you during this trying time.

I wanted to start by saying how sorry I am for your loss. I have known Larry for about 5 years. He was a regular customer here at Eastern Bank in South Weymouth, and also a great friend. We started talking because I noticed he lived in Brockton, as I do also. He would hound me all the time to get my daughter into the Downey Baseball league he ran. I did & she loved it.. I will greatly miss all our long conversations about his band playing all weekend & how exhausted he was, but yet he still always kept on going. I am sorry I can't make the services but I wanted the family to know how he has touched me & my family's lives & how he will be greatly missed. God bless you all in this terrible time.

To The Nelson Family/ with my sympaty
I had the Honor to know Larry, though the Brockton Little League Inter-League. Larry was a Menche,
he always gave and gave, without asking anything in return. He loved his family and you could see his family loved him back. From this point on I will always remember Larry's hokie 7 inning stretch song. I have no faith in religion myself but I can see Larry
taking care of filelds and trying to get the Head Rabbi into the game .
Larry your life was taken at such a young age, so the people from the Downey Family will have to step up to be their for your wife but especiallyfor kid .Life is just not fair!!!

Dear Roz, Bradley, Matthew, and Eleanor,

Mike and I were very shocked to hear about Larry's passing. He was a very gentle and proud man to us. It was great to see you all in August when we came up to celebrate a happier event. We will always think of that special day, knowing that he always had a smile on his face. He will be sorely missed in our hearts. We wish we could be with you on this day celebrating Larry's wonderful life, but we will be with you in spirit. We love you all.

God Bless You and Shalom

Dear Nelson Family,
I knew Larry from Randolph High School. He always had a zest for life and a smile!
I am very sorry for your loss. Larry was truley a mensch, this world will be a little less joyful without him. I used to see Larry at a Kadima concert in Randolph, he would inevitably speak of how proud he was of his family. Please take pride in knowing that Larry was not only a great person, but put smiles on the faces of many people, old and young alike. His memory will always be a blessing, we ALL share in your loss, as it is a loss to us too!
