Alice Donovan Obituary

DONOVAN, Alice P. 81, of Needham, former longtime resident of Norwood, died peacefully, surrounded by her family, on November 10, 2008. Born in Norwood, she was the daughter of the late Joseph M. and Mary E. (Hayes) Donovan. Ms. Donovan was a graduate of Norwood High School and was a secretary for Bird & Son in East Walpole, retiring after over 30 years of service. She was sister of Louise Bellomo, and her husband Gus of Needham, Helen O'Connor, and her husband, the late Robert of Holliston, Elizabeth McNulty, and her husband William of Abington, and the late Mary Groh and her late husband Robert. She was also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 13, at 10 AM in St. Timothy's Church, 650 Nichols St., Norwood. A visitation will be held prior to the Mass from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street (Rte. 1A), NORWOOD. Interment in Highland Cemetery, Norwood. Memorial contributions may be made, in memory of Alice P. Donovan, to the Wingate at Needham Resident Council, 589 Highland Ave., Needham, MA 02494. Gillooly Funeral Home Norwood 781-762-0174
