Edmund Coleman Obituary

COLEMAN, Edmund F., Jr. 60, of Fairhaven, died Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was the husband of the late Corinne E. (Mc Laughlin) Coleman. Born in Boston, the son of Edmund F. Coleman, Sr. and Dorothea (Mc Partlan) Coleman of Fairhaven, he was raised in Dorchester and has resided in Fairhaven for over 25 years. Mr. Coleman was a Vietnam Combat Veteran in the United States Marine Corp, attaining the rank of Lance Corporal. He was the recipient of several medals and awards including the National Defense, Vietnam Campaign with 60 device, Vietnamese Service with 2 stars, Navy Commendation, Air Medal with 8 stars, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with palm, Cbt AirCrew Insignia with 3 stars, Good Conduct and Letter of Appreciation. In his earlier years, he attended S.M.U. and was the owner of The Lift Company. He enjoyed sports, especially the New England Patriots, news events, politics and debating. Surviving in addition to his parents is a daughter, Nicky Muzrim and her husband Paul of Brockton; a brother, Richard Coleman of Fairhaven; two sisters, Donna Lopes and Nancy Rodrigues both of Stuart, FL; two grandchildren, Coleman and Corin Muzrim; and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Paul Coleman. His Funeral will be held on Monday, November 17, 2008 at 10am from the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Fairlawn, 180 Washington St., Fairhaven followed by a Funeral Mass at 11am in St. Joseph's Church, 17 Spring St., Fairhaven. Mr. Coleman,
Sir, as a fellow Marine I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the USMC in Vietnam as a helicopter crewman with the 1st Marine Air Wing. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
