Carolie Noble Obituary

NOBLE, Carolie (Woods) 81, died on November 12, 2008 at her home in Mystic, CT. Mrs. Noble was the widow of Marshall Hays Noble. She is survived by her brother, John P. Woods, of South Harpswell, ME, 5 children, Tracy Hollingsworth of Alexandria, VA, Helen Hollingsworth of Wayland, MA, Valentine Hollingsworth of Dover, MA, Laura Hollingsworth of Farmington, CT, and Arthur Hollingsworth of Dallas, TX, their spouses and numerous nieces and nephews. She was the proud grandmother of 14 grandchildren. Services will be held Monday, Nov. 24, 11 AM at the Calvary Church, 27 Church St., Stonington, CT. Carolie had some of the best sayings and funny stories. The phrase I always remember (and use) was from one Thanksgiving when she announced she was ready to eat...as soon as she got "some weapons". Carolie always said the nicest things to me about my children and that is one of the fondest memories I will carry.
