Although I did not know of Sister's death at the time, I wanted to note what a great teacher and fine person she was.
I was in her 8th grade class of 53 in Cambridge in 1959. As a teacher myself, I am in awe that she managed such a large group.
She did it with a great sense of fun and enthusiasm.
She could have disciplined a pack of wild wolves, but she commanded our great respect.
I actually recently at church heard of her passing from another student of hers in 1955. He had vivid and fond memories of her as well.
I remember her great love of music and all the singing in harmony we did in her class. She arranged 8th grade dances for us on friday afternoons in a spare basement room with records as our orchestra... we loved it.
She shamelessly favored the boys, but we girls loved her too.
I have many fond memories of her
I wanted, if belatedly, to convey my appreciation of her selfless service to so many children.
To all her family, my deep heartfelt sympathy.

To Elizabeth, Laurie and the family,
So sorry to hear about Sister. We have such fond memories of spending holidays with "Auntie Sister". She was always such great fun. May God Bless Her.
Fondly,
