DERVAN, Mary A. (Cunningham) Of West Roxbury, formerly of Co. Galway, Ireland, November 17, 2008 at the age of 97. Beloved wife of the late Edward Dervan (Retired BPD). Devoted mother of Patricia Bernard and her late husband, Phillip of Fairhaven, Anne Doherty and her late husband, James of Arlington, Jane Dever and her husband, Paul Dever of Wareham, Rita Meunier and her late husband, James of Needham, and Edward C. Dervan and his wife, Patricia of West Roxbury. Also survived by twenty loving grandchildren and thirty beloved great grandchildren. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St., WEST ROXBURY on Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Theresa of Avila Church at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Wednesday 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Mary may be made to Marian Manor, 130 Dorchester St., South Boston, MA 02127. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. Mary was a wonderful and a very pleasant person.Her late husband,Ed, served with my father in the U.S. Army and later as fellow police officers at old Station Three on Joy Street.
