Lawrence Thibodeau Obituary

THIBODEAU, Lawrence J. Of North Weymouth died Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008 at the Mass. General Hospital. He was 78 years of age and was born and raised in Quincy. He retired in 1995 from Talbot's in Hingham where he was Maintenance Manager. As a young man he worked for Stop & Shop and then opened his own store "Point Superette" in Quincy Point. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and also served in the National Guard. He enjoyed bowling, sports and camping. Beloved husband of Rosemary (Knoll) Thibodeau. Devoted father of Laura Jones and her husband Charles N. of North Weymouth and the late Brian Thibodeau and Suzanne Thibodeau Kent. Brother of William P. and his wife Betty Thibodeau of South Weymouth and Joyce and her husband Joseph Gilmore of South Weymouth. Also survived by several nieces & nephews. Funeral from the McDonald Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea St. (off Rte. 3-A) Wednesday at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Jerome's Church, North Weymouth at 9:00 o'clock. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Tuesday from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Interment, Old North Cemetery, North Weymouth. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Larry's memory to the Yawkey Cancer Center, 55 Fruit St., Boston, MA 02114. mcdonald-funeralhomes.com
