Dear Harriet and family,
This note of sympathy is from your long lost cousin "Sister Kantor" from Miami, FL. Received the article in the paper from another cousin in Mass. Lee was such a wonderful person and to have been married so many years. I still remember the wedding on June 30th.
Would love to speak to you and bring you up to date on the Florida families.
My deepest sympathy to you and your wonderful family.

Kaplan and Carpenter Families,
Please accept my sincerest condolences on the passing of Pop. He was a kind and genuine man who always had a friendly word or two for me at the various family get-togethers, and I always appreciated that. I know he meant the world to all of you, just as all of you meant the world to him. I know that you'll keep his memory close to your hearts.
I'm sorry I wasn't able to attend the service; I would have liked to pay my respects.
Best wishes to all of you during this diffcult time.

I extend my condolences to the Kaplan family. Not having Leon around is a great loss. I first met Leon in October of 1986 and has always been a part of my life. Whenever he visted the showroom he would make special effort to see me. Leon you are greatly missed.

To the Kaplan Family,
My heart goes out to you for your loss. I wish the best for your family at this time. I know that the life of Leon Kaplan, his impact on so many in the furniture industry, and the fond memories that we share of him will serve to heal his family, friends, and associates in dealing with this loss.
I remember Mr. Kaplan as a kind man who was generous with his knowledge. I am sure that he mentored countless people. He was a gentleman and a businessman and worthy of our thanks for how he touched our lives. Though he has been away from the industry for a bit, his fingerprints are there on the furniture industry for everyone to see.
To those he has left behind, take heart. He built family that you can call on, contacts that you can rely on, and a path that we all can follow; kindness, help for our brothers, and the patience to teach the next generation.
Those are the things that I learned from Mr. Kaplan. The world was a better place for his presence, and it would be far better still if we all practiced those lessons that he taught us.
With sympathy to all who grieve his loss.

To the Kaplan Family,
I want to extend my sympathies to the entire Kaplan family. Many fond memories of the old days of Kaplan and Fox came to me today as I learned of Leon's passing. He and I talked regularly as my company, Kindel Furniture, was a supplier for the showroom. I learned a great deal from him about the furniture business. He was a pro and a gentleman.
In the many years that I have been in the furniture business I will always remember Leon's visit to Grand Rapids to tour the Kindel factory. He was so interested to be here as he remembered the pre High Point days when the furniture market was still held in Grand Rapids. I drove him by the Exhibitor's Building (as it is still known today), which had long ago converted to offices and restaurants. He attended Market in that building in the 1960s and was delighted to see it again and reminisce of the changes in the industry (at that time!). As he toured our factory he loved to tell stories of the days when Kaplan and Fox manufactured furniture. Being here brought back many memories for him, and it was a pleasure to see.
I have not seen Leon since his retirement but will always appreciate his friendship and his professionalism and knowledge about the furniture business.
My sympathies to his entire family.

Dear Leon's Family,
Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of "Uncle Leon", to which we all so affectionately referred to him as. Leon was such a wonderful person. I so enjoyed our time together when he was at the helm of the Beacon Hill Showrooms with David Sr. and David Jr. He will be sadly missed. I will keep you all in my prayers.
