Domenica Epifano Obituary

EPIFANO, Domenica (Anne) 88, of Wellesley died of natural causes in hospice on Friday, November 28th. Born in Castiglione a Casauria in Italy, she came to Wellesley at 7 years old in 1927. Anne was the daughter of the late Antonio and Isabella Epifano. She attended Wellesley Public Schools and continued her education after high school graduation at The Chandler School for Women in Boston. Her business career took her from Boston to Los Angeles and to New York during the 1940's and 1950's. Gifted with an operatic voice, she enjoyed singing in the chorus of both the Los Angeles and Milan Opera Companies. She was a lover of international travel and devoted to her family and friends. Anne also very much enjoyed spending time at her home on the beach in Popponessett, Massachusetts. She is survived by her sister Lydia Behrend of Wellesley & Naples, Florida and her brother Silvio Epifano & his wife Norma of Boca Raton, Florida. Anne was a dedicated and loving aunt to Wendyll, Karl, Dean and Neil Behrend; Karen, Kim, and the late Cathy Epifano; and Amy Epifano Carlton. She is also survived by six grand nieces and one grand nephew. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service this Saturday, December 6th at 11am at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses located at 1672 Washington Street in West Newton, Massachusetts. To all family members of Anne my deepest sympathy, I've had the pleasure of knowing Anne for almost ten years and have fond memories of meeting her in Popponestt. I could hear as I approach her home someone singing so sweetly, one thing I didn't know is that she sang opera. So many smiles too!!! I loved her stories of all the people that came to the cape for summer vacations. Thanks for the memories Debbie Regan Century21 Reagn Realtors
