Joan Lynch Obituary

LYNCH, Joan Kathryn (Enos) 78, of North Falmouth, MA passed away Monday December 1, 2008 after a brief illness. She was the wife of 52 years to Dr. John A. Lynch and the daughter of the late Charles J. Sr. and Kathryn (Cunningham) Enos. Born and raised in Brighton, MA, she later lived over forty years in Manchester, NH. She was a 1952 graduate of Regis College with a bachelor's degree in Sociology. After raising her family, she earned a masters degree in education in 1980 at Notre Dame College in Manchester, and taught almost 20 years in Manchester public and parochial schools. She was a long time member of Saint Elizabeth Seton parish, active in the North Falmouth Village Association, and volunteered at the Falmouth Historical Society. As a wife, mother, and grandmother, her family was the most cherished part of her life and she treasured every family get-together. Besides her husband, she is survived by her five sons, Michael and wife Susanne of Amherst, NH, John and wife Heather of Falmouth, Thomas of Cambridge, Peter and wife Mayre of Falmouth, and Stephen of Cambridge; and six grandchildren. She is predeceased by her brother Charles J. Enos, Jr. Visiting hours will be from 5-8 pm on Thursday, December 4th in Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 74 Algonquin Ave. at Route 151, MASHPEE, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Noon on Friday at Saint Elizabeth Seton Church, 481 Quaker Road, North Falmouth, followed by burial at Massachusetts National Cemetery.
