I have fond memories of visiting Jean at her house in Needham where also lived in their later years her mother Florence (Eckerstrom) Houghton and Jean's aunt, my grandmother Ann (Eckerstrom) Reagan. Cousin Jean was generous to a fault and patient beyond belief to put up living with a couple of fussy and occasionally downright cranky (albeit loveable) old ladies. Cousin Jean was a favorite of my father's and I hope they are busy swapping stories in heaven.

Aunt Jean touched so many lives. She was always there when anyone needed her. She felt she was put on this earth to help others. Help she did-no questions asked-whether it was her country or her family. It was a much better world with her in it. She will be missed every day of my life.

Col. Houghton,
Maam, I would just like to say thank you for your years of dedicated service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army-especially during WW II, the Korean and Vietnam Wars. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
