Hi Scott, Susan, and James. I was very sad to hear about your mother. Although I didn't know her well myself, I know that anyone who managed to raise such nice, smart, talented people is someone the world should honor and will sorely miss.

I'll be thinking of you and your mother this Christmas, and hoping you're all doing okay.

Take Care.

Dear Susan, Jimmy, and Scotty,

I am very sorry for the sudden passing of your mother. I remember her fondly - she was a beautiful woman, inside and out, and a dedicated mother. She took the effort to come to my surprise 50th birthday party! to see those friends of Susan's who were there and to wish me a happy birthday. This was just a few years ago, and when she mentioned that Susan looked gorgeous, i thought to myself (and maybe spoke out loud), "YOU are gorgeous", and she was. And she seemed to handle her hardships with grace. I will always remember her fondly.

I'm sorry i'll be out of state at the time of her service, i wish i could be there with you, i will be there in spirit. I send you all love at this difficult time and wish you strength and peace and love in the days and months ahead.
love, patty westwater (pat westwater-jong)
