VASSALLO, Vincent P. Of Winthrop, on December 6, 2008. Beloved husband of Florence (Cocorochio). Loving father of Rosanne Averill of Danvers, Vincent Vassallo of Boston, and James Vassallo of Everett. Cherished grandfather of Stephen Averill, Kristin Averill, Elizabeth Vassallo and Vincent Vassallo; great-grandfather of Samantha Meehan. Dear brother of Corrine LanFranchi of Amesbury, Diane Amorosso of Revere and Nancy Edington of FL. Also survived by loving nieces and nephews. Funeral from The Kirby-Rapino Memorial Home, 917 Bennington Street, (Orient Heights) EAST BOSTON on Tuesday at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass to be celebrated in St. John the Evangelist Church, Winthrop Street, Winthrop at 10 AM. The family will receive visitors on Monday from 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Late U.S. Navy Veteran of W.W. II. Mr. Vassallo,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the USN during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
