David Bunker Obituary

BUNKER, David G. Of Medford, formerly of Somerville. Dec. 11, 2008. A late Korean War Army veteran and a retired Somerville Police Officer. Husband of Catherine Joan Bunker. Loving father of Catherine Roche and her husband Charles of Somerville and David Bunker of Somerville. Devoted grandfather of Christopher, Daniel and Brendan. Brother of Dorothy Benson of Haverhill and the late Chet, Henry, Helen, and Earl. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Raphael’s Church in Medford on Tuesday December 16 at 9 am. Relatives and friends invited. Burial is private. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Lung Assoc., 460 Totten Pond Road, Suite 400, Waltham, MA 02451. Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your years of dedicated service and sacrifice-first for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and secondly for the citizens of Somerville when you served with the SPD.
