Patrick Cahalane Obituary

Of Hanson, died peacefully at home on Sunday August, 19, 2007 with his family at his side, he was 63. Son of the late Patrick & Mary (Healey) Cahalane of Co. Cork, Ireland & Savinhill MA. Devoted husband of 41 years to Carolyn A. (Foley) Cahalane, loving father of Theresa A. Cahalane and her fiance Richard Dockendorf of Hanson and Christine M. Moran of Hanover. Papa to the love & Joy of his last 6 years, his grand daughter, Julie Elizabeth Moran, brother of Ann Sullivan of Franklin, John Cahalane and his wife Irene of Brewster, brother-in-law to Bill Foley and his wife Dottie of Marlborough CT. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and many cousins from Co. Cork, Ireland. Our special thanks to all his friends, Hospice nurses and staff, especially Kelly & Barbara, who made Pat smile and feel special. He served in the United States Army from 1962-1970. Retiree of the Boston Globe newspaper, where he worked for over 30 years. Avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. Dear Carol and family of Pat,

Please accept our deepest sympathy on the lose of your husband and father. Pat was a wonderful friend and fellow co-worker. Pat and I were apprentices together at the Herald Traveler. We had some wonderful memories. Sue and I are thinking of Pat in our prayers.
