God had a perfect plan for John to touch the lives of others through the life that John would lead. Now the day has come when his work on earth is finished and he is living in heaven with his Lord and Savior.

Mr. Carroll,
Sir, I didn't know you, but I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the U.S. Army during WW II in North Africa and Italy in the 701st Tank Destroyer Battion. And t your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy. The 701st saw extensive as supporting various divisions throughout WW II starting with the 1st Armored and 1st Infantry Divisions in North Africa in 1942;1943 and later in Italy from 1943 to the end of the war in 1945.
