Nancy Whitney Obituary

72, Of Union, ME died Aug. 20, 2007 at Brigham & Women's Medical Center in Boston. Born in Boston on December 16, 1934, she was the daughter of Paul S. and Gertrude (Hubbard) Hurlburt. On June 18, 1977 she married William E. Whitney. For a number of years, Mr. & Mrs. Whitney worked in the Boston area and returned to their home in Union on the weekends. Nancy was the Showroom Manager for George & Frances Davison, Inc., from 1986-2003; the first showroom to open in the Boston Design Center, a wholesale business for interior designers and architects owned by Nancy's Aunt Frances. Surviving is her husband, William E. Whitney of Union, ME; three sons, David E. Wiley of Lynchburg, VA; G. Scott Wiley and his wife, Joanne of Scarborough, ME; F. Allen Wiley and his wife, Patricia of Augusta, ME; one daughter, Karen E. Lovejoy and her husband, Douglas of Medford, MA; three stepchildren, one brother, one sister, 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her former husband, Francis A. Wiley, and her aunt, Frances Davison. Calling hours will be 4-7 PM Aug. 24th at the Long Funeral Home, 9 Mountain St., CAMDEN, ME. Memorial Service 10:30 AM, Aug. 25th at the John St. United Methodist Church, Camden, ME. Donations may be made to the Maine Lung Association, 122 State Street, Augusta, ME 04330 or Pulmonary Rehab Fund, c/o Pen Bay Health Foundation, 22 White Street, Rockland, ME 04841.
