In Readville August 23, 2007. Beloved husband of Jean (Riley) Ahern. Loving son of Elizabeth Claire (Sullivan) and the late William B. Ahern. Loving Father of Patrick W. and Brendan Ahern both of Readville. Loving brother of James and his wife Susan Ahern of Quincy, and Mariclaire Ahern of Ca. Also survived by loving aunts, uncles, nephews & nieces. Funeral from the Francis E. Kenney & Sons Funeral Home, 1445 River St., HYDE PARK Monday at 8:15AM. Funeral Mass in St. Anne's Church W., Milton St. at 9:00. Late Employee City of Boston Street Lighting Div. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours Sun. 4-8PM. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery. I am friends with Brendan and I was very unhappy to find out about the passing of his dad. I go to CM with him and he has always been one of the most enthusiastic kids and one of the nicest kids at CM. So this is for Brendan and his family and I am sorry for your loss.

Dear Jimmy and all of Patrick's family, I was stunned and saddened to read of Patrick's passing. I am sorry that I could not be with you all today, Monday, at Patrick's funeral. I grew up with Patrick and Jimmy. It's been a long time, but time only cements wonderful memories and friendships. I will never forget Patrick. Never. May God bless his wife, children, and family. Rest in peace, my friend. We'll see you again sometime.

Although we did not know Mr. Ahern, we were advised today as to his passing. I did however know how proud he was of the situation with Catholic Memorial. I know he spoke of it often. There will always be a prayer and a kind thought for Pat and especially his family. Please stay strong....

We have spent the last two days reminiscing about the good old days in Readville when our children were young, February vacations spent together down the Cape, WWF outings with, "Sparky Plug", "The Muffin Man" and "Stampede".
