Mr. Wood,
Sir, I didn't know you, but I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served during WW II in the Pacific with the U.S. Navy aboard the light cruiser USS St. Louis(CL-49) better known as the "Lucky Lou" or the "Ship that couldn't be sunk." And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy. The St. Louis was at Pearl Harbor on Dec 7, 1941, Midway and Guadalcanal in 1942, the Battle of Vella Lavella in the Solomon Islands in 1943 and served with Task Force 58 from 1943 to the end of the of War in 1945 and saw extensive action throughout. I'm sorry for going on and on, but whenever I read about what our men went through during WW II, I am alway in awe.
