Mary Hurley-Turco Obituary

Age 78, of Milford, formerly of Newton, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family, August 23, 2007. Born in Newton, MA on October 28, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Matthew J. and Mary E. (LeBlanc) Hurley. She graduated from Newton North High School and, after raising her children, began a long career in Human Resources working for the City of Newton until her retirement. Mary is survived by her husband, Joseph A. Turco, to whom she had been married for 29 years. She was formerly married to the late John R. Cetrone, with whom she shared three beautiful children. Mary is predeceased by an infant sister, who died at birth, and a brother, Matthew J. Hurley, Jr. Her three children and their families are: John R. and Victoria Cetrone of Clarksville, MD and their children Dana and Eric; Mary Catherine "Cathy" and Arthur Cabral of Milford, MA and their children Andrew and Matthew; and Gina M. and Gerald Rosati, of Merrimack, NH and their children Mary Alayna and Gerald III. Mary is also survived by her stepchildren Richard Turco of Revere, and Karen Simonelli, and her son Stephen, of Everett. Many nieces, nephews and special friends, Brian J. Carnevale and Lisa Walker, will also miss the humor, grace and wit of this beautiful lady. Funeral from the Andrew J. Magni & Son F.H., 365 Watertown St, Rt. 16, Newton, Friday, Aug. 31, at 9:30AM. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 573 Washington St, Newton at 10:30AM. Burial will follow in Newton Cemetery. I just found out about Mary's death, and I wanted to express to Joe and Mary's family my deepest sympathy. She was my boss in HR for many years. She was a lovely woman who told it like it was. She will be deeply missed.
