Ellie, I will never forget the first time I met your Carlos and Maria -- Thanksgiving Day, 1982. The stereo was playing a Portuguese song and your Dad was singing into the microphone that was hooked up to the speakers. He was Karioke before it was cool. You have been such a good daughter to both your parents. I am proud to have a friend like you. You are an inspiration. Love to you and Carl at this difficult time. We will never forget Carlos. Dear Eleanor. Our heartfelt prayers are with you. Your Mom and Dad are
together again. They were fortunate to have a daughter like you to support them as they, through the years, have supported you. We know
they are both looking down with great pride. Our love to you and to Carl through this time.

Ellie & Carl,
These are times I wish I wasn't so far from home. The one thing I will always remember about Carlos was his voice. Once you heard him speak, you could never forget him. I can hear him laughing now. How can one forget.
Thinking of you both,
Susan & Family

Eleanor, my sista friend...so many laughs are in your memory with your Dad. He was one of the stongest people we will ever know...medical books will list him..in you lays his strength and celebrity. He is finally at peace, no more operations, dialasis, or worry about too many sweets or cold cuts. He is back in the Asores of heaven a strong man with pride, talent, and of course his good looks. He is free.
We Love you, you did everything you could..no more guilt.

Ellie and Carl,
My deepest condolences to the both of you.
I thank-you both for giving me the greatest pleasure of meeting Mr. Reis. He was an extremly "sharp" man and very inspirational! (who loved his soccer) We had some beautiful conversations in the short time I knew him. He loved you both dearly! Stay sweet and strong, as that is what he would want.
