I don't know if you remember me but I was your au-pair girl in 1986. I'm so sorry to read that Lucy is gone. She was a wonderful person and I loved her so much. She was so nice to you all and the perfect mother and grandmother. I'm thinking of you.
With love

I miss you and love you more than you will ever know. You are the greatest mother in the world.
May God keep you safe in Heaven with Dad.

I met "Nana" and her dear family when they lived on the Isle of Palms. I smile everytime I think of her! How special she was! What a lady! Elaine and I became the very best of friends during this time...and remain so today. My heart goes out to the family at this sad time...and what a celebration Heaven must be having! An Angel has surely arrived.

My condolences to the Jette Families.
Your Mom, Grandmother and Great Grandmother must have been a wonderful woman to have created such a tribe!
Her son, Roger and I have become great sailing buddies over the past almost two decades. Over the years I have had the good fortune to meet several of his sons and their families while on the Vineyard.
My fondest memory is the time Roger accompanied me to Menemsha Harbor on a leg of my maiden voyage with my current boat.
As we pulled into the channel, we were serenaded with squeals of delight and discovery, when an absolute gaggle of his grandchildren noticed us pulling in.
I turned to Roger and said "Geez Rog, it doesn't get much better than that"
So rejoice Jette clan, in the legacy that Lucy Isabel Jette has bestowed upon you.
Have a safe passage Lucy, save us a mooring, we'll see you soon.
Fondly

Dear Roger and Elaine,
It's true we all have been blessed to have a parent with us for so many of our adult years (it let us be "the kids" forever!) but the loss, and passing of time it highlights can leave us feeling that life is just too short anyway.
I have such wonderful memories of your Mom and Dad and of all the holiday celebrations our families shared.
I wish I could be with you today....Please know you are on my mind and in my heart.
Love, Carol

Roger and Elaine, and Family
We viewed Lucy's obituary on the computer tonight. We really loved
Lucy, and Omer as you know. Our
memories of them in Melvin Village,
and Attleboro, are vivid. The times
were terrific, and their affection
for each other, was obvious, but
challenged at times, just like
everybody else. I celebrated my
28th year in AA last week, Roger.
Lucy would have been proud of me.
Omer would have said "How about
one for the road, Billy Boy!"
Well, our prayers will be with you
all. We will be visiting our friends up in Melvin next week.
Will be thinking about the old days again. When we go down by their old
cottage I can still hear the ping
pong balls. Love,
Doris and Bill Janes
