James J. Bolton

81, of Pocasset died at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, August 31, 2007. Loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and avid gardener. He was born on January 3, 1926 in Wayland, MA to James J. Bolton and Sarah Levis. He was a decorated veteran of WWII, serving in Europe, and was awarded the purple heart. He was the beloved husband of Anne M. (Stingel) Bolton for 54 years. Father of Maureen A. Celorier and her husband Stephen, Jane E. Joska and her husband Louis, Thomas M. Bolton and his wife Laurie (Robert). He was predeceased by his sons James J. Bolton III and Mark H. Bolton. Grandfather of Patrick Bolton, Andrea List, Stephen Celorier, Scott Bolton, Kristine Celorier, Lindsey Cain, Brian Joska, Michael Bolton, Jamie Bolton, Cory Bolton and Tyler Bolton. He was predeceased by his granddaughter Kimberly Bolton. He also leaves seven great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Priscilla Roy, Mary Nightingale, Matilda Bolt, Sally Anthony, William Bolton, Letitia Kelley, Marion Lapine, Marilyn Forbes, Richard Bolton, Sandra Barnes and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held at The Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd., BOURNE on Tues., Sept 4 from 4-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church, 841 Shore Rd., Pocasset. on Wed., Sept. 5 at 11 am. Burial will follow at The Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
