Edward McDonald Obituary

Of Boston August 31, 2007. Made his first Profession with the missionary Society of St. Paul the Apostle (The Paulists) on September 7, 1935 and ordained a priest on June 7, 1941. At 94, he was the oldest living Paulist in the Community. Beloved brother of James McDonald of Seekonk, MA, Kenneth and his wife Jane A. McDonald of Cumberland, R.I. and Ruth Freitas of Cumberland, R.I. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday September 5 at the Holy Spirit Chapel of the Paulist Center, 5 Park Street, BOSTON at 10 A.M. Rev. James Moran, C.S.P. Vice President Paulist Fathers will preside. Visiting hour will be prior to the Mass begining at 9 A.M. in the Holy Spirit Chapel. Interment Saint Joseph's Cemetery. Late retired Veteran U.S. Air Force Chaplain Major. For the last of his life, Father was cared for by the Little Sisters of the Poor of Somerville, Ma. until he became critically ill and was moved to St. Elizabeth's Hospital where he died. Arrangements under the direction of the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home, 74 Elm Street, QUINCY.
