A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

I think of how brave you were, knowing what was ahead of you. Even then, all you wanted to do was make us laugh and to make sure we knew you loved us.

Please light a candle in Ma's memory.

A long time ago, me and ma were talking and she said, "Do you want to hear something weird"? Of course I wanted to hear it… She then told me that she didn’t look at the clock that often, but thought it was odd that when she did, it was 11:11 a lot of the time. She wasn't spooked by it; she just thought it was strange.

Of course, through out the past several years, I've had times when I looked at the clock and it was 11:11. I shared the original story back then with my wife Diane and through out the years, she would sometimes yell out to me... Paul… its 11:11. I too would do the same to Diane.

The point of sharing this story is that the time 11:11 would be there on occasion. As of that day, over ten years ago, it was always a reminder to me to think of ma, which of course I did. Whenever the time was 11:11, I would say “hi ma”.

However, this week, I've looked at the clock only a few times, I swear maybe 5-7 times because I've been out of work this week and haven't had to know what time it was for any particular reason.

Wouldn’t you know it… 4 times this week, I've looked at the clock and it's been 11:11

It could have been am or pm, I don't know, but I have my reminder to think of ma (not that I need help this week, trust me).

Maybe it’s her way of making sure I know she’s arrived and is OK?

So, as you go forward, a little reminder to everyone that when the time is 11:11, you’re surely guaranteed to think of ma, just be sure to say “hi ma”.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

To the Parker Family,
You all will be in our thoughts and prayers. Our sincere condolensces on the loss of your Mom.

Here is a poem that was given to me when my mom passed...

To Those I love and All those who loved me...author unknown

Thank you all for the tears and thankyou for missing me, but now that I am gone, please release me, let me go. I have so many things to see and do.
You must not cry for me with tears, be happy we had so many years. I gave you my love you can only guess how much you all gave me back in happiness. I thank you for the love you each have shown, but now I must travel alone. So grieve a while if you must, then let your grief be comforted by trust. It's only for awhile that we will part, so keep all those memories within your heart. I won't be far away for life goes on. So, if you need me, call me and I will come. Though you cant see me or touch me, I will be near. And if you listen with your heart you will hear all my love around you so soft and dear. And then when you must come this way alone, Iwill be there to greet you with a smile and say "WELCOME HOME!"
God Bless you all!
