Of Needham, Sept 4, age 88. Beloved husband of Doris (Pitman) Lynch for 59 years. He was born & raised in Boston, graduated from Cathedral High School. He served as a Navigator in the Air Force during World War II. He had a long career in the airline industry & retired as the District Sales Manager of SABENA Air Lines in 1991. Devoted father of Robert J. Lynch Jr & his wife Maureen of Westport, CT, Jane Shilalie & her husband Robert of Holliston, Kathryn L. Meinelt & her husband Walter of Topsfield, Stephen D. Lynch & his wife Barbara of Westwood, Mary Jo Sharkey & her husband James of Natick, John W. Lynch & his wife Maryann of Melrose. Brother of the late Stephen J. Lynch & Lillian Eager. Also survived by 13 grandchildren. Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave (Exit 19B off Rt 128) NEEDHAM Saturday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in St Joseph Church, Needham at 10 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 PM. Interment St Mary Cemetery, Needham.
