I just found out about Mrs. Harwood's passing today from our mutual friend Dorothy Lamont Scott. I will let my mother, Betty Baringer Barnes know. I have many fond memories of our times in Brewster Park with the Harwoods.

My heart goes out to all the Harwood family. I will always remember Mrs Harwood/"Miggy" as a very caring, bright woman with a great laugh. There's no doubt in my mind that she "went above and beyond the call of duty" in life, and I feel honored to have known her. Know that I wanted to express myself in person , but something came up at the last minute preventing me from doing so.

I was hoping to be with you this morning, but the ride is not possible today. Aunt Peg was such a big part of my youth; she was a mentor and friend. She will be in my heart always. Love, Janie B.

I remember Beth's wedding to Kendrick in Waban and the reception at the family home afterward. What a lovely day and what a beautiful family. My sincere condolences to you all. Patricia Walker Noon

Brewster Park now has another Saint watching over it. Mrs Harwood was gram to all of the Kids in BPC. I still miss getting a hand full of animal cookies from her kitchen.

Unfortunately, I never had the good fortune to meet Mrs Harwood, but over the years have heard wonderful things about her. I went to school at Newton South with several of her children, and have remained friends with one of her daughter's. Please accept my condolences on your loss of a very special lady in your lives.

I have so many great memories from Gram and Gramp's house in Brewster Park growing up. Gram was a great inspiration and she'll be sorely missed.

No matter when we stopped by her cottage in Brewster Park Aunt Miggie always had a big welcome for us - she was never too busy and her home was never too crowded. And her laugh - I will never forget it - so honest and genuine and full of life. Visiting Brewster will never be quite the same. And I loved watching my mother and Aunt Miggie together - two amazing sisters. Our hearts ache with this loss and we extend our deepest condolences to all the extended Harwood family.

My late mother, Charlotte Klein Huntington, was a childhood and college friend of "Miggy May" later known as Peg Harwood. They both went to Smith College after graduating from Newton High School. I don't recall ever meeting Mrs. Harwood (although I must have), but her name was frequently and fondly mentioned in our Newton Centre home. I am so very sorry for your loss. Please accept my sincere condolences.

Aunt Miggie had the biggest heart. No matter how busy or how many people she was taking care of, she always had room for one more. She loved us all for the individuals we are and we miss her already.

Gramma was one-of-a-kind! She told the most intriguing stories of her many trips around the world and cared with all of her generous heart for everyone around her. We will miss Christmases with the family at her house but will carry on many traditions that were so dear to her. We are so grateful she is beside her husband in God's hands now!
