Mom...I can’t believe we are coming up on 13 years since you left us. I part of my heart was taken when you passed. I miss you daily. I know you are smiling down at our great big family and loving my 10 grandchildren from heaven. We tell them stories about you. So although they never met you, they know you and know how much you are loved and missed. Love you and miss you. ❤❤

I dont think I could ever have asked for a better grandmother than My grammi. She was the kindest most loving person. I have the best memories growing up with her that I will treasure forever. I miss her every single day but I know how lucky I am to have had her in my life. I love you grammi and miss you!

Mom...it is still so sureal to me that 2 days from now will mark the first anniversary of your passing. I think of you every day and I miss you so much. I know you hear me when I speak to you.. because I feel you. I miss your hugs, your smile, your sense of humor. I only hope that I will be half the grandmother to my future grandchildren that you were to my girls. I love you mom... thinking of you makes me cry...but more importantly, makes me smile. I posted a few special pictures for visitors to enjoy!

DEAREST DOTTIE CHEERING THE RED SOX: COWBOY UP!!! GUESS WHAT?!!! WE, THE SOX, CAME BACK TO WIN THE GAME!!! I TOLD DOTTIE IT WAS ALL BECAUSE OF HER 'COWBOYING UP'!!![October 2003]

I HAVE SUBMITTED A COUPLE OF PICTURES OF DEAREST DOTTIE ...WHICH I LOVE...BUT I SAVED MY FAVORITE FOR LAST. I FLEW BACK IN OCTOBER 2003, ONCE AGAIN TO 'SURPRISE HER'...BECAUSE SHE AND I THOUGHT THE SOX WOULD FINALLY BEAT THE CURSE AND WIN IT ALL IN 2003. WE HAD TALKED ON THE PHONE, AND I COULD NOT STAND IT. HOPPED ON A NW FLIGHT FROM PORTLAND, OREGON TO BOSTON.... SO I COULD BE WITH DEAREST DOTTIE FOR THE 2003 SERIES. YES, THERE WERE OBSTACLES. BUT AT OUR DARKEST HOUR, WHEN DOTTIE WAS GIVING UP, I SAID TO HER: 'I DID NOT FLY ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE ENTIRE UNITED STATES FROM PORTLAND, OREGON TO BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS,TO SIT HERE IN YOUR LIVING ROOM AND WATCH YOU GIVE UP! NOW,LET'S MAKE SOME NOISE OR SOMETHING!' SHE LEFT THE LIVING ROOM, WALKED DOWN HER HALL (I HAD NO IDEA WHY) AND CAME BACK, PUT THE 'COWBOY UP' HANDKERCHIEF OVER HER PHOTO...AND THREW UP HER ARMS AND SAID "OK...!!! COWBOY UP YOU RED SOX!!!!!!!!"
I took the picture, and here it is...for me, it is the most wonderful PERFECT DOTTIE picture as a RED SOX FAN!!!
Love, Sandy

DICK AND I FLEW TO BOSTON FROM PORTLAND, OREGON TO SURPRISE DOTTIE FOR HER 87TH BIRTHDAY, APRIL 18, 2005..AND ALSO TO CELEBRATE THE SOX WINNING THE 2004 PENNANT AND THE PATRIOTS WINNING THE SUPER BOWL...THUS THE T-SHIRTS: WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!!!

JANET REMINDED ME THAT I NEVER SIGNED THIS GUEST BOOK LAST SEPTEMBER. I'M GLAD SHE DID. I WAS TOO SAD AND MISSING DEAREST DOTTIE SO MUCH, THAT I NEVER THOUGHT OF SIGNING THE GUEST BOOK THEN. NOW, ALMOST A YEAR LATER, I STILL MISS DOTTIE AND THINK OF HER EVERY DAY. SHE WAS LIKE A 'SECOND MOM' TO ME. AFTER I MOVED TO OREGON IN 1968, SHE SENT ME WONDERFUL LETTERS, SNOOPY CARDS, HOLIDAY CARDS, AND LITTLE GIFTS FOR 'NO REASON'. I RECALL HER VISITS TO OREGON AND THE FUN TAKING HER TO THE KINGDOME TO SEE THE RED SOX BEAT 'THAT OTHER TEAM'!!! WE YELLED AND WAILED TOGETHER IN HER LIVING ROOM DURING THE 2004 SERIES VS. THE YANKEES, AND I SURPRISED HER BY FLYING BACK FOR OPENING DAY AT FENWAY IN 2005 ...I COULD NOT POSSIBLY THINK OF WATCHING THE PRESENTATION OF THE PENNANT AND RINGS WITHOUT BEING SEATED NEXT TO DOTTIE IN HER LIVING ROOM! I STILL FEEL SHE 'BLESSED' OUR SOX LAST OCTOBER WHEN WE WON THE WORLD SERIES AGAIN!!! ALL THROUGH THE SERIES I KEPT THINKING 'WOW, WISH I COULD PICK UP THE PHONE AND CALL DOTTIE TO YELL ABOUT THIS GAME!' ONE TIME WHEN SHE VISITED, I TOOK HER AND MOM DOWN TO THE BEACH HOUSE AT MANZANITA, OREGON (NORTHERN COAST). I'LL TRY TO ATTACH ONE OF MY FAVORITE PICTURES TAKEN AT THAT TIME. I WILL NEVER FORGET MY BELOVED DOTTIE, AND WILL NEVER FORGET HER GENEROSITY, CARING AND UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. SANDRA (CROOK) CHRISTOFFER

I remember the light and laughter of your stories and your keeping of family ties and sharing these with all. Your good spirit, sense of adventure, and unquestioning faith will remain in the hearts and lives of those who knew you. The strength you showed during adversity and the joy you savored for life's small treasures will remain a gift to us forever. I hope that in this delicate time of rememberance that your family will hold close this strength of your spirit and love.

Well the Red Sox have advanced to the World Series, I can see you smiling and cheering them on. I miss calling you during the games and sharing the excitement with you. Thank you for sharing your love of the Sox with me. You were my hero in life, a role model to emulate but never duplicate. You really were everyone's best friend, and I miss you, my best friend, more and more every day. Thank you Mom for being you and being there for me. I love you.

Altho I didn't know Dottie well I did have the pleasure of spending some very happy times with her when she was here in overgaard visiting her daughter, Lenda, and family, she was such a friendly lady, always smiling, laughing, telling us stories, she made me feel like I had know her all of my life, I am so sorry for the sadness you are all going thru at this time, just know in your hearts that she is with you everyday, smiling on you, standing by your side, protecting you, and loving you. talk to her and think of her often, she is there.

My Grams was one of the most Amazing Woman I have ever met, not to mention the Best Grandmother a girl could ask for. Growing up she did soo much for her grandchildren, and I will always remember her wonderful stories of growing up in Mansfield. She took us on many day and weekend trips that I will never forget, and did sooo much to make us Happy. I will miss her every day for the rest of my life. Grammi - I wish you could be there for my wedding next year, but know you will be looking down and watching over me, wishing you could snap some pictures. I love you=)

To the family of Dottie Chaisson I would like to express my sadness at the passing of your dear one and to remark on how blessed she was to have such a loving and devoted family. I believe she will always be with me as she will be with all of you. I see her sweet smiling face in my mind when I think of her.
I am a long time friend of Lenda (Chaisson)Quinn and her husband Ed, and to the two of you I'd like to say my heart is with you now and always!

She was a wonderful mother to you and she was a special"mom" to us. She made us feel so welcome and loved in a country so far away from our home. She was gentle and kind, loving and patient. She loved to tell stories, and we could listen for hours. We learned about your childhood, of your Dad's love for fishing, her life as an army nurse, the excitement that she felt being a grandmother of your children, how she kept Kristin busy by lining up cheese curls on the window sill.
She drove us home from the hospital with our first child.
We are deeply saddened and we share your sorrows.May all the wonderful memories help you get through this very difficult time.
She will always be remembered. She will be at Peace with our Lord.
Our deepest sympathy,
